"Where Knowledge Leads to Excellence"
Great News! The AKC Board is now allowing All-Breed and FSS Parent Clubs to Host FSS Open Shows. All-breed clubs will be able to host FSS Open Shows, and FSS breed Parent Clubs can hold an FSS Open Show for all FSS (including Miscellaneous Class) breeds. ADDITIONALLY, your dogs will earn points towards a "Certificate of Merit", which is equivalent to the "Championship Title". This title "CM" will be denoted on your registration. Visit the What's New page for the full details on all changes and vital links to forms, applications and information.
The new 4.0 has 6 individual tests in which to evaluate the dog, giving us more information to make a better analysis of whether we have a purebred or not. We take into consideration each test result and evaluate a dogs purity based on those results. Your dog may show inconclusive on one test and still be a purebred dog. If you have any questions contact firstname.lastname@example.org
The BTCA, Inc., Biewer Terrier Club of America, Inc. has been named the parent club for the Biewer Terrier by the AKC. As the Biewer Terrier is gaining recognition World Wide as a breed of its own, the BTCA continues to assist those countries needing help in obtaining recognition with their respective kennel clubs. You can register your purebred Biewer Terrier with AKC/FSS, UKC and BTRA in the United States. We are looking forward to developing a strong, healthy foundation for the Biewer Terrier. |Biewer Terrier Rescue|
The Biewer Terrier Rescue Association is an alliance of dedicated Biewer Terrier rescue volunteers who share a deep love for the breed and who will work to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home Biewer Terriers in need, whether abandoned, lost, stray or surrendered to rescue for placement. Many times our members may have adults that they are re-homing also.
As volunteers united in a common cause, we are committed to the care of these dogs in foster homes, and providing for their physical and emotional needs. We are committed in our endeavor to help them with all the resources we have available.
We pledge to maintain a community of volunteers who treat each other, and the dogs they rescue, with respect, courtesy, kindness and love. We will seek always to lend encouragement and to support one another, and to facilitate friendly collaboration and cooperation between our volunteers.
We believe that by building a supportive, dog-centered organization founded on respect, honesty and integrity, we will always remain focused on the welfare of the Biewer Terriers entrusted to our care and hold their interests uppermost in our hearts and minds.
Our mission is to place these dogs in safe, loving and permanent homes with approved applicants, and to provide a supportive network for our volunteers, who after all, make our goals possible.
