Benefits of Being a BTCA Member

  • You will automatically be adopted into the ever-growing Biewer Terrier family. You will have the opportunity to socialize and communicate with breeders, judges, Biewer Terrier lovers, and fanciers.
  • You will be given the chance to participate in the many projects that the club has designed to further the development and advancement of the Biewer Terrier.
  • The prospect of giving back to the breed by being involved in expos, meet the breeds, or local events where you can introduce the Biewer Terrier to the general public.
  • Above all, you have the opportunity to influence the preservation and integrity of our breed, by being involved in the development and voicing your opinions as a club member.

The BTCA is working hard to establish a beautiful, healthy Biewer Terrier foundation in America. We are eager to work with people that have the same interests and goals that the BTCA, Inc. represents and welcome breeders and Biewer Terrier fanciers alike. The BTCA encourages junior participation, as we feel our juniors will play an important part in the future of the Biewer Terrier and will benefit from participating in show events early on. Our junior membership is complimentary.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the BTCA, please fill out the online application. The application must have the endorsement of 2 Sponsors in good standing who knows the applicant well. All applicants must agree to a personal interview. Upon acceptance, you will receive a welcome letter from our Membership Director informing you of the good news.

Club dues must be paid with your application in order to be considered for the BTCA. 

Membership Classes

Regular Any person eighteen (18) years of age or older in good standing with the American Kennel Club and with any affiliated Biewer Terrier Club, if membership is held in an Affiliated Club, may apply for regular membership in the Club.

Foreign Members. Any person eighteen (18) years of age or older whose application comes from outside the United States, and who are not U.S. residents (or its territories or possessions), may make an application for foreign membership. Foreign members are not entitled to vote or hold office.

Junior Members. Any person between the ages of nine (9) and seventeen (17)  may apply for junior membership provided they are an active participant of the breed, in good standing with the American Kennel Club.

Associate Members. Any person eighteen (18) years of age or older in good standing with the American Kennel Club, assisting in the hosting of AKC-sanctioned events. No dues shall be required. No voting rights shall be conferred in that the position is an honorary position extended as a courtesy for the purpose of promoting pure-bred dogs and cooperating in conducting events.

Affiliated Biewer Terrier Clubs. Any Biewer Terrier Club, which has met the American Kennel Club’s requirements to hold Sanctioned B and A or mentored events, may make an application for membership..

Honorary Membership. Honorary membership may be conferred only upon a person who has rendered a distinctly valuable service to the Club or the breed. Honorary members shall be exempt from dues and application fees and shall enjoy all the privileges of the Club, except that they may not vote or hold office. A member so honored may maintain active (regular) membership status by paying the appropriate annual dues.

  • If your membership application is denied, you will receive a refund of membership fees, excluding the non-refundable application fee.
  • If you are a current member and have a Kennel website, please fill out the Breeder Directory Application in the Members Only section. There is an additional $50.00 yearly fee for website publication.
