When is the Biewer Terrier going to be fully recognized?

We are proud to say that the AKC has fully recognized the Biewer Terrier as of January 2021.

It usually takes years for this to happen. We were first accepted in April of 2014 into the FSS group, then moved to Miscellaneous in July 2019 where Biewers remained for one and half years, then into full AKC recognition as of January 2021. Biewers are one of the quickest breeds to move through FSS without being recognized by the country of origin or the FCI.

The Biewer Terrier is also fully recognized in South Africa (KUSA) and the Bahamas (CBKC).
